

Lillian
Lillian fought Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia not once but twice. In total she spent 1536 days on treatment. Lillian is now excited to be off treatment and to be a kid attending school and dance classes. She is committed to giving back to kids just like her through her pyjama and blood drives. She lives with her parents, two sisters and her dog and is so happy to have an amazing support team behind her.

Ava
Ava is a strong girl who takes things one day at a time. She was diagnosed with metastatic osteosarcoma in the fall of 2022. Her treatment plan involves 2 surgeries and rounds of chemotherapy. Despite having to learn to adapt to a new way of life after her first surgery, Ava has remained incredibly positive during her weeks off treatment which she nicknamed her “sunshine weeks”. Now that she has been declared cancer free we are wishing her only sunshine in the future!

Wesley
Wesley loves legos, trains, soccer and playing outside with his brother and 2 sisters. He is a beam of sunshine. In 2022 Wesley underwent treatment for relapsed Leukemia and received a bone marrow transplant at the Hospital for Sick Children. Wesley exceeded the expectations of his treatment team and is now back in remission. He is at home with his family enjoying time just being a kid!

Bradley
Bradley was diagnosed with a Low Grade Glioma brain tumor at the age of 2. He underwent brain surgery as well as many rounds of chemotherapy, speech and physiotherapy. His team continues to monitor his tumor and hope that it remains stable.
This year Bradley continues to enjoy school. He loves tractors, cars and his mom. He has the most infectious smile and continues to face every day with hope and a positive attitude.

Natalie
Natalie is a spunky 11 year old who was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in June of 2022. Her treatment protocol lasted for 2 years. In her first months of treatment she has had several hospital stays but she never lets this get her down. When she is away from the hospital she makes the most of the days, spending them with her friends and with her mom, dad and big sister. The TRF team was by their sides as they navigated this unpredictable cancer journey.

Jacob
Just days after his 13th birthday Jacob was sent to the hospital for a blood transfusion. After a series of tests he was sent to Sick Children’s Hospital and it was confirmed that he had leukemia. Jacob shared his positive attitude when he stated “What’s the point in being sad, it won’t change anything.” After years of treatment Jacob has been declared in remission but the treatments have taken a toll on his physical and mental health and he works hard every day to stay positive and to get back to living the life of a teenager.

Owen
The name Owen means “young warrior” and he is the perfect representation of that after fighting brain and spine tumors. Owen underwent an experimental treatment which has put him in remission and will also help other children who receive a similar diagnosis. Way to go Owen!
